Anderson, Domenico

Domenico Anderson (1854-1938) was an Italian photographer, son of the pioneer of photography James Anderson (1813-1877), from whom he inherited and continued the activities in Rome. After his death, his archive was acquired by the foundation Fratelli Alinari in Florence which is still extant. Domenico Anderson is particularly known for his photographs of monumental architecture, Roman antiquities, church interiors, and religious art.
