Aarsverk

Workplace inclusion in practice

Aarsverk is Aars’ centre of expertise for inclusive recruitment and workforce development. The company helps Aars-owned businesses create pathways into employment for people who are outside the labour market, while supporting long-term recruitment and skills development needs.

Creating opportunities

Through close collaboration with employers, public authorities, and training providers, Aarsverk develops and implements programmes that combine practical work experience, skills development, and guidance. The goal is to help more people enter working life and build lasting careers.

Aarsverk builds on years of experience from successful inclusion initiatives across the Aars portfolio, where participants have gained training, work experience, and permanent employment opportunities.

Inclusion that creates value

Workplace inclusion creates value for individuals, businesses, and society. By connecting motivated people with employers seeking talent and skills, Aarsverk helps lower barriers to employment and strengthen workforce participation.

Through practical support, proven methodologies, and close cooperation with the Norwegian Labour and Welfare Administration (Nav), Aarsverk enables companies to succeed with inclusive recruitment and build more diverse and sustainable workplaces.

Exclusion is a societal challenge that concerns us all. 700 000 people are outside of work and education, while Norwegian companies lack people and expertise. Successful inclusion is not easy, but it is a win-win for all parties.

Aarsverk – a catalyst for inclusion

Several Aars-owned companies have, for many years, focused on practical work inclusion through various initiatives. The first was Møller Medvind, followed by Medvind Eiendomsservice and OneCo. In total, nearly one hundred people have so far secured permanent jobs and a safe place in working life. Aarsverk has been a central supporter in these initiatives and now brings the collective experiences forward, serving as Aars’ shared toolbox for inclusion work.

In 2024, Aars and Medvind Utvikling received HR Norge’s Competence Award. In the award committee’s assessment, emphasis was placed on how Medvind’s (now Aarsverk) work has “expanded the view of competence to something broader than just formal qualifications, and taken steps so that everyone can contribute their resources in working life.”
